Amparo Valcarcel Estors is an experienced Ceramic Building Material (CBM) Specialist and Historic Building Recording Surveyor at Pre-Construct Archaeology. Graduating with a degree in History, specialising in Prehistory and Archaeology, from the University of Valencia, Amparo brings 27 years of international experience across Spain, Portugal, France, and the UK.
Since joining PCA in 2015, she has become an expert in building materials, integrating historic building recording into her practice since 2017. Her role encompasses site assessments, technical reporting, and CBM training for site staff.
Amparo has contributed to numerous high-profile heritage projects, including extensive architectural recording and material assessments at Tobacco Dock, Fenchurch Street, Westminster Abbey, the Victoria and Albert Mausoleum in Windsor, and several major projects at the Tower of London.
