We’re digging deeper and delving further into Whitechapel’s past at McAleer & Rushe’s site at the Arbor City Hotel in London Aldgate!

Medieval Whitechapel is coming to life in No.3 of the ‘Find of the Week’ series on McAleer & Rushe’s site at the Arbor City Hotel! This rowel spur dates from the 15th-17th century. Could this have been lost by a horse rider on the adjacent Whitechapel Highway?

Our second ‘find of the week’ from McAleer & Rushe’s site at Arbor City Hotel in London Aldgate: more Medieval decorated, glazed tile, but as yet no sign of the building they come from!

We are undertaking archaeological investigations for McAleer & Rushe at Arbor City Hotel in London Aldgate and our first ‘Find of the Week’ from this site is a decorated glazed Medieval floor tile.
