Neil has been an archaeologist since 1999, starting his career with Wessex Archaeology working on sites in London and the southeast. He joined PCA in 2002 as a field archaeologist and then progressed to Supervisor/Senior Supervisor. During this time Neil supervised and published a vast array of projects across London and wider area including a Roman cemetery site in Southwark, Saxon, medieval and Tudor remains at Somerset House, a Tudor mansion house at the former West Ham Football Club, and PCA’s two largest urban excavations in the City of London, Drapers’ Gardens and 120 Fenchurch Street.
In 2021 Neil moved into the role of Project Management and has since managed a variety of fieldwork projects across London, Surrey, Kent and Essex. Neil has extensive knowledge of both urban and rural fieldwork techniques and post-excavation analysis along with a broad knowledge of the archaeology of London and the southeast.
