Isaac Thompson

Geospatial Data Supervisor
Isaac joined Pre-Construct Archaeology in 2022 as a Trainee Archaeologist and progressed into the Geospatial Data team, where he is now Geospatial Data Supervisor. His move into the role was driven by a strong interest in archaeological data capture technologies, particularly GIS, survey and photogrammetry, combined with a long-standing enthusiasm for computing and digital systems.
He is responsible for supporting and developing PCA’s geospatial and digital recording infrastructure, including GIS workflows, web-based applications and custom QGIS plugins. He also contributes to photogrammetry projects, producing spatial datasets and 3D models to support archaeological investigations.
With a particular interest in the integration of technology and archaeology, Isaac develops digital solutions that improve the management and accessibility of archaeological data.
