Environmental Impact Assessments consider the potential effects of development on the environment, including archaeology and cultural heritage. PCA provides archaeological and heritage expertise to help identify, assess and manage these impacts as part of the wider EIA process.
Assessing impacts and informing development
We assess the potential effects of proposed developments on known and potential archaeological remains, historic buildings, heritage assets and the wider historic environment. Our work can contribute to Environmental Statements and other supporting documentation, providing clear evidence to inform design, mitigation and planning decisions.
We work alongside developers, consultants and project teams to identify archaeological and heritage constraints early, assess their significance and develop appropriate mitigation strategies as projects progress.
